Event Overview
Home health care workers — primarily people of color and women — are the backbone of California’s health care system. The California Department of Aging’s CalGrows program provides free online training for caregivers who are paid professionals and qualify to earn $6000 stipends, and for family caregivers who can get valuable skills that will help them and/or open new career possibilities.
Time is running out for this remarkable program which ends on August 30, and ethnic media need to spread the word about how caregivers can build skills, earn stipends and advance their careers.
