This on-site briefing was our most successful FTC convening ever. The media and community leaders were really engaged. It’s such a diverse city now and we had people from many different newly arrived communities. Oh, and the southern soul food that was served was fantastic.
Event Overview
Scammers are actively targeting every community, every day, sometimes in different ways. Information is one of the most powerful weapons people have to protect themselves and their families against scams. This briefing will give reporters and community influencers the most up-to-date information about the scams targeting immigrants, communities of color, young people and older adults across Kentucky. Experts, lawyers, community organizers and people who’ve experienced scams will share information to help others spot, avoid and report fraud.
