A pregnant mother and her unborn child both died in what police suspect is a random shooting in Seattle, reports Fox13.

The suspect has been identified as Cordell Maurice Goosby. He told police he has had a history of mental health issues and police described him as being in crisis when they arrested him. As he was arrested, the suspect raised his hands and declared “I did it, I did it,” court documents indicate.

Eina Kwon and her husband Sung-hyun Kwon had been sitting at a light in their Tesla when the suspect ran alongside their vehicle and began firing. Surveillance video showed smoke either coming from the gun or from the glass shattering on the car.

An ambulance rushed the 34-year-old woman to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery and later died. Her unborn baby survived a short time but also died.

Her husband was also treated at the hospital, but has since been released.

The couple owned a Japanese restaurant where a memorial of flowers has grown.

Go Fund Me campaign has been set up by friends to help fly relatives from Korea for the funeral and to cover expenses for the burial. More than $40,000 has been raised so far.

The couple had a two-year-old son who is now without his mother.
